Bitcoin (BTC) was the first cryptocurrency created on the basis of distributed Ledger technology in 2009 by a group of developers under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. At that time, few people thought about the future of bitcoin, it was interesting mainly to Internet technology enthusiasts. However, only a few years have passed and the cryptocurrency has become truly digital money, that is, a means of exchange. It cannot be said that for ten years of existence, bitcoin has received widespread recognition, but many market participants perceive it on a par with Fiat money. For bitcoin you can buy goods and services, exchange cryptocurrency, you can buy it in cryptomath.
Investing in bitcoin is interesting, because it is based on the so-called "deflationary model", the issue of cryptocurrency is limited due to the original algorithm, it slows down over time, and it becomes more difficult to extract bitcoins. Network participants calculate hashes, in other words, passwords from groups of transactions in the blockchain. The process is quite complex, but there is a guarantee that the record will not be forged. Bitcoin mining is called mining, and the asset itself is called "digital gold".
Bitcoin is not only the most popular, but also the most expensive cryptocurrency, its capitalization is more than half of the entire cryptocurrency market. The investment hype in 2017 led to the fact that about 20 thousand dollars were given for bitcoin. Some market analysts have argued that this growth is temporary. So it happened, in 2018, the sphere of cryptocurrencies faced a serious crisis, and the cost of bitcoin fell to 3,5 thousand dollars.
It would seem that the era of crypto ends at the very initial stage of development. But not here it was, in 2020 the price of Bitcoin showed slow but confident growth, by 14th February it approached the mark of 9,900 dollars and is expected to peak in 2021 - 2022. The voices of skeptics abate, but cryptoentertists predict a rise in value to 100,000 dollars or more. Time will show what will happen to crypto, much depends on the activity of investors and their investments.
